Dear Joan,

Just a short note to say how much we all enjoyed our time with you at Warida Avenue & Sorrento during January. I certainly did and judging by Joshua & Zoë’s plaintive references to Negri* and Grandma (in that order I have to say) they would prefer to be living in Melbourne.

I’m enclosing some photos of our time down south. My favourite is the one of you and Joshua making music in Robert’s old room at Warida Avenue. I think Joshua was singing an Australian version of the 12 days of Christmas while you accompanied on the Aboriginal “sticks”.

Joshua started school last week and seems to be doing well. Zoë has started at Pre-school and I’ve started relaxing.
