Subject: Hazel

I lit a candle for Hazel last night, not knowing that she was no longer with us, yet in our minds and spirits, with us forever. In each of our memories her beauty will always be with us. For those of us still living, what are we to each other but what is in each of our minds anyway? When we are together we communicate, give and take from each other, then when apart we carry something of each other within us. Now we can no longer communicate with Hazel but we still carry her within us; we can feel her sunshine, the warmth and joy of its radiance.

We will miss Hazel. Unfortunately I cannot take away any of your pain but I am feeling and grieving with you. What we can do, all of Hazel’s friends, is look towards sharing our memories and celebrating Hazel’s beautiful life.

With love and care,

Sue was a friend of Hazel’s and mine.
