Recently I’ve wondered why your steady stream of good-humour onto my laptop has dried up..and in speaking to my son Jesse at dinner last night, and recieving the sad news, I began to have a realization.
Hazel told me at Amanda Barnes’s birthday party about the e-mail jokeline and indeed about her condition. I didn’t take it on board at all until last night when the image of Hazel came back to me. I remembered passing her as she walked down Darling Street, tall and elegant on a beautiful sunny morning around this time last year. All the pieces fell into place.
Once again, please accept my commiserations on your terrible loss and all of our wishes of strength, light and courage to you and your kids.
Sincerly,
Robert
Robert was an acquantance of Hazel’s and mine.
