Zoë's Birth Announcement, Christmas Day, 1990

The following was our 1990 message to friends on the Internet announcing Zoë's birth.

A daughter was born to Robert Marks and Hazel Church at 12:52 pm Eastern Australian Summer Time on Tuesday, December 25th, 1990; mother and daughter are both doing well. The girl (still unnamed) weighed 9lb 2oz. She was delivered with no intervention, after a short labour of less than three hours. We're close to deciding on a name, and I shall let you all know when we have. Hazel's in the Royal Hospital for Women, Paddington, probably until Friday. Tel. +61-2-339-4367. Then (after a few days) we decided on a name we liked ...

"Zoë", although only bisyllabic, was balanced by "Rebecca." Hazel's family name is the third name.
