Dear Robert,

Patrick just send me a copy of your email which I have just read. I am sitting here in tears missing Hazel so much. I had no idea she had deteriorated - the last time I met her was a couple of months before I left Australia for Ireland which was on May 1st. I was so busy packing up my life I did not get the chance to catch up and say goodbye to all of my friends - I am starting over in Ireland. I am now devastated that I didn’t see her before I left.

What a beautiful caring person. It was a joy for me to have known here all those years - my first Christmas in Australia was spent with her down in Mollymuck or Ulladulla - or both. We had such fun. I will cherish her in my thoughts and prayers. I know she is hovering above you and the children looking after you - her spirit will never die. My sincerest condolences.
